Le monde n’attend pas

28 Apr

Two beautifully touching songs that the blog called .Le monde n’attend pas shared with us and allowed us to discover.

Drunksouls

An epic band from Marseille, the lyrics will make you shiver, especially the song “revolution”. If it is true that artists reflects the moods of peoples, stakeholders of our developed societies are allowed to be worried. How long the youth will support what the democracies are offering for their futur.

Heart of Gold by Neil Young

Thank you cousin for having shared this beautiful song with me on this sunny Sunday morning of my 52nd anniversary.

Heartbreaker

Too much sitting may be bad for your health.

Those who sit more often are found to have a greater risk of premature death, particularly from heart disease.
Said otherwise, prolonged sitting is a health-destroyer.
They are numerous sorts of risk/preventive factors of chronic disease or premature death: dietary, calorie’s intake, physical activity, cardiovascular fitness, sedentary behaviour. For the latter, prevention searchers have defined a surrogate or a proxy or a correlate which is the prolonged sitting time whose they are trying to asses the consequence on health. Determinants of behaviours such as healthy eating, moving, being sedentary represent a huge field of research aiming to invent the prevention slogans for the future.
More and more studies tend to prove that prolonged sitting is a heartbreaker
Now it’s time, already, to ask your boss to buy height-adjustable desks for his staff or to introduce nonseated working options in the offices.

That’s how the Deep Purple were called once by the Guinness book of world records!

If virtuosity means something it’s Richie Blackmore playing his guitar. When I feel down I play this old version of the song called “Lazy” by the mythic Deep Purple Band. The tune put high voltage in my mind. It’s a kind of reverse meditation!Enjoy Richie and he’s magical fender Stratocaster (the name of the awesome guitar). As always the comments of you tube users are pleasant as is the following one:“If before I die, someone invent a time machine and I can get it, is for the time up there I want to come back. Best of all ages. »And this one:“Ritchie’s solo was beautiful. I can now die a happy man”

Below is an other song, more calm:

But I told you about the title Lazy and forgot to give you the link; here it comes, the omission is redressed.

Comments putted below you tube videos have always enjoyed me a lot. Here are a few examples of them inspired by the admiration of Neil Young fans and enhancing the spirituality of their idol. And really I am one of them!

“One man. One guitar. Six strings. One mind.” Said a visitor in the you tube video comments.

An other: “that takes big nuts to sit and play that good and that full alone”

And this one: “I was born in the wrong decade! Damn! Today music is just shit compared to this.”

“amazing soul, amazing spirit, amazing man.”

The song old man recall old memories to another:” I was on holiday with my dad and he had the album in his car on the way to the lake district and we walked up this ‘wansfell pike’ in ambleside and we were both sat at the summit with a sandwich singing it to eachother…most at one with the world i have ever been.”

And this last: “Could someone please tell me the meaning behind the words of this song?”

I love this song and the woman who sings it!

She was in Marseilles in November 7th, 2011, in the concert hall which is called “le silo” but I missed her. From our special correspondent in Arles (who is in the same time my cousin): “She spent the day in Arles on tuesday, doing 2 readings and a great concert in the evening, in a small venue with 350 people : it was absolutely amazing : one of the best concerts in my life!!!”. Thank you cousin for having given me such a good news from one of my most beloved artist.

When I listen to her music the same charm operates more than Thirty years after:

Ride Like the Wind

This  song, by Christopher Cross, evokes to me the United Sates of America and moreover the state of Texas where I spent two months in 1976 visiting my aunt and uncle. All the legend’s ingredients are here: The myth of the border, the outlaw, horse riding.  Listening to this song you can imagine the photography of the rider with “reward” written on it! Americans are instinctively cautious with government rules and prefer to be on the side of the runaways.  It comes backward from the time their land was ruled by the English monarchy. This is an explanation why their constitution resembles to a fortress protecting them from government and state laws abuse.  It allow them to wear a weapon,  police can’t control for your papers in the street without a good reason and unless you don’t respect a written rule, you can express every kind of statement you want no matter the content, providing your acting peacefully. Judges and attorneys are elected by citizen votes.  By comparison with the French one which was rewritten a lot of time, the American Constitution has never been abolished and is the same from the beginning of their democracy.

Here are the lyrics (imagine you run away toward the Mexican boarder with the feds on your heels):

It is the night. My body’s weak.
I’m on the run. No time to sleep.
I’ve got to ride.

Ride like the wind to be free again.
And I got such a long way to go.
To make it to the border of Mexico.
So I’ll ride like the wind.

I was born the son of a lawless man.
Always spoke my mind with a gun in my hand.
Lived nine lives
gunned down ten.
Gonna ride like the wind.

And I got such a long way to go.
To make it to the border of Mexico.
So I’ll ride like the wind.
Ride like the wind.
Ride like the wind.

Accused and tried and told to hang
I was no where in sight
when the church bells rang.
Never was the kind to do as I was told.
Gonna ride like the wind before I get old.

It is the night. My body’s weak.
I’m on the run. No time to sleep.
I’ve got to ride.
Ride like the wind to be free again.

And I got such a long way to go.
To make it to the border of Mexico.
So I’ll ride like the wind.
Ride like the wind.

And I got such a long way to go.
To make it to the border of Mexico.
So I’ll ride like the wind.
Gonna run like the wind.
