In the reproductive competition where males of human as well as non human species confront themselves, a study demonstrates a possible trade-off between attractiveness from the point of view of female gender and quality of sperm. From two things one: either you get both plenty of female and poor semen or you get both a little number of female and good quality semen. Thus the chances of reproduction are equally shared between competitors.
Nevertheless in our monogamous societies the association discovered herein is far less important that it would be in a society tolerating polyandry.
